Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Greenway! We strive to offer a rewarding, fun, and impactful experience for our volunteers, and their support allows us to maintain our organic parks and operations smoothly.

The majority of our volunteers work with our Horticulture staff during bi-weekly outdoor projects from March to December and enjoy getting fresh air and exercise while learning about our organic landscape practices and developing their gardening skills. Our skilled staff create a positive and productive experience and the work completed makes a visible impact on the neighborhood.

In 2015, we are also launching an Arts Ambassador Volunteer Program and recruiting for volunteers who can help engage the public in our art initiatives. To learn more, visit our Individual Opportunities page.

There are lots of ways to help the Greenway grow! We also have a variety of specialized volunteer positions that we recruit for as needed, and some opportunities in areas like public programs, special project assistance, and photography depending on individual skills, training, and interest. Learn more here!

We also have opportunities for corporate, nonprofit, and school groups to help out as well!

Thanks to our 2014 Volunteers!

Last year, we had over 850 volunteers contribute over 3200 hours of service, working with us on projects ranging from planting and weeding to tabling and assisting with our many public events! Thank you and we're excited to see what this year brings!
