Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Greenway! We strive to offer a rewarding, fun, and impactful experience for our volunteers, and their support allows us to maintain our organic parks and operations smoothly.
The majority of our volunteers work with our Horticulture staff during bi-weekly outdoor projects from March to December and enjoy getting fresh air and exercise while learning about our organic landscape practices and developing their gardening skills. Our skilled staff create a positive and productive experience and the work completed makes a visible impact on the neighborhood.
We also have two park-based Ambassador volunteer programs! Recruitment for our 2016 Ambassadors is closed but learn more and be on the lookout for recruitment information in early spring. Our Art Ambassador Volunteer Program supports engaging the public in our art initiatives. Take a look at the Art Ambassador volunteer job description! We have also launched a Play Ambassador Volunteer Program to support play-based education throughout our parks. Learn more in our Play Ambassador volunteer job description!
There are lots of ways to help the Greenway grow! We also have a variety of specialized volunteer positions that we recruit for as needed, and some opportunities in areas like public programs, special project assistance, and photography depending on individual skills, training, and interest. Learn more here!
We also have opportunities for corporate, nonprofit, and school groups to help out as well!
You can also sign up here for our Volunteer eNews to stay in the loop about our upcoming volunteer opportunities!
