1. Why is the Greenway Conservancy offering pavers?
The Greenway Conservancy is offering the public a chance to honor their mother, caregiver, or mentor and to provide support for the care of the Greenway.
2. Where will the pavers be placed?
The pavers will be placed in a walkway located on the harbor side of the Wharf District Parks. The layout of the Mothers' Walk will begin at the north end of the parks and wind its way south.
3. When will the pavers go in?
The pavers will be engraved and installed on a rolling basis. Installation will begin in the spring of 2008, allowing three to five months after your order for your paver to be installed.
4. What is the size and price of the paver?
The size of the paver is 6"x6". Each paver costs $500.
5. What do they look like?
They look great! Pavers are high-quality, concrete pavers with a texturized surface. Your inscription is engraved and then filled with charcoal litho-chrome paint for readability and long life. In addition, the entire walkway will receive a coating of sealant to further the longevity of the pavers.
6. What can I put on the paver?
You can put the name of the person you are dedicating the paver to, a date, and one of the pre-selected statements.
7. Can I include a company logo in my inscription?
In keeping with the community character of the program, logos are currently prohibited in the Mothers' Walk.
8. Can I buy multiple pavers?
Yes, you may purchase multiple pavers; however, each paver must have a different name.
9. Can more than one person dedicate a paver?
Yes! We encourage families, teams, students, and friends, to collaborate on the purchase of a paver for that special parent, mentor, coach, or teacher.
10. Can my two pavers be placed together?
Pavers will be engraved in the order they are received; however, we cannot guarantee that your pavers will be placed next to each other.
11. Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. Since the Conservancy is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your gift is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
12. Can I receive extra copies of the certificate?
Yes. For additional copies or replacements of your certificate, please send $15 to the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy. The first certificate is included in your paver order.
