The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy is requesting applications from fashion truck operators to participate in a pilot at Dewey Square running from June through October 2013. The Application is posted here and proposals are due to vending@rosekennedygreenway.org by Friday, May 17 at 5 pm.
The Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy previously requested proposals to operate the Greenway Custom Carousel opening Labor Day 2013. We have selected an operator and we're working through contract negotiations. Once those are completed, we will announce our operator.
The permanent carousel on Boston's Greenway will be located in the Wharf District Parks opposite Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Christopher Columbus Park. This promises to be a high profile business opportunity. This will be New England's only custom-designed carousel and is destined to become an iconic Boston landmark. For more information on the Greenway custom carousel, visit our carousel page.
For questions regarding the RFP, please contact Laura Jasinski at (617) 603-7722 or email carousel@rfkgc.org.

Mobile Eats Food Vending Program
Greenway Mobile Eats has seen three seasons of growing crowds and acclaim, because the vendors are among Boston’s very best and are real partners with the Conservancy. Greenway vendors’ food is acknowledged with awards, their operations are sustainable and innovative, and they partner with the Conservancy to improve the parks.
The Conservancy has selected vendors for the new season of April 1 2013 through March 31, 2014 based on applications received from a Request for Proposals with due date of 11/30/12. New applications are not being accepted. Vendors will be announced in late March 2013.
If you are interested in special event opportunities or in receiving email notifications about future requests for proposals, please email your contact information and a short description of your business to vending@rfkgc.org.
In summer 2011, the organizers of the popular SOWA Open Market piloted a crafts and art market in the Wharf District Parks, the Greenway Open Market. The pilot was successful, as was an expanded 2012 season and they are now accepting vendor applications for the 2013 season.
There are currently no other plans for non-food vending on the Greenway. If you would like your business’ name placed on a list for future consideration, please email your contact information and a short description of your business to vending@rfkgc.org.
Our two calls out to artists as part of the planning process for the Five Year Public Art Strategy were due by Wednesday, November 28th 2012 and are now closed. We value artists’ input and to complete the planning process, we ask artists to contribute ideas and challenge them to imagine the possibilities of the Greenway as a dynamic space for public art. View complete RFQs here.
Currently, there are no other business opportunities. If you would like to be considered for contract work with the Conservancy, please email your contact information and a short description of your business to info@rfkgc.org.
