Greenway Carousel
In 2013, we're building a new one of a kind carousel and we'll be opening it Labor Day weekend (Specifically, Saturday, August 31st 2013) Rides will remain $3. As a result of construction, we won't have a rental carousel this summer. For updates on the project, visit our carousel page.
Fountains
Cool off on a hot summer day at the Rings Fountain in the Wharf District Parks. You can count 64 nozzles that shoot up in the air and create circles of vertical water. This is one of the most well-known features on the Greenway – your friends are sure to be there!
You can also find a canal for splashing in the North End Parks and a winding, rocky stream in Chinatown Park.
The fountains are on from late May – early Oct. from 9AM-11PM daily.
Activity Carts
Come discover the fun inside our two activity carts. The Imagination Playground cart features foam building blocks that encourage open ended creativity and play. Our toys and games cart is loaded with all sorts of fun things to do. In North End and Wharf District Parks this summer from late June– Aug 28; Wed – Sun, 11AM – 3PM.
Scavenger Hunts
A fun learning activity for kids and adults. Explore the parks and discover something new. Download our scavenger hunts for North End Parks, Wharf District Parks and Chinatown Park. Scavenger hunts are also available in the parks at the Activity Carts.
Story Hour
Bring your parents and teachers to the North End Park for a free story hour with ReadBoston; July 8 – Aug 12 every Friday at 10 AM. Everyone gets to take home a free book. Don’t forget a blanket! Ages 3-12.
