Greenway Gala

2017 Greenway Gala is "the best yet!!"

Thank you for joining us on June 8, 2017 in support of the 2017 Greenway Gala, dubbed by many "the best yet!" Our 9th annual Gala was attended and supported by nearly 500 guests, sponsors and friends who enjoyed wonderful food and drink in tents under the stars on the beautiful Rose Kennedy Greenway on Rowes Wharf Plaza at High Street.

Co-chaired by Jeff Beale of Eaton Vance and Mike Carragher of VHB, the event raised a record-breaking amount of $557,000 in support of The Greenway and its many programs. Citizens Bank, represented by Jerry Sargent, President of Citizens Bank Massachusetts, and Don McCree, Vice Chairman, was honored for its long-standing and generous support of The Greenway. Guests were treated to an event theme of “Playful Perspectives” that celebrated the Greenway's 2017 Public Art exhibition of the same name. Chris Templeman, the artist behind The Greenway's Chinatown Park art installation, Make and Take, exhibited how he creates his unique art using 3D printing technology. Our Live Appeal also set a record in support of our Public Art programming.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Event Leadership & Table Sponsors and to all of you, our loyal Greenway supporters and friends, for making this year's Greenway Gala a success! Your generous support helps to sustain the beautiful Rose Kennedy Greenway and makes possible our more than 400 free programs, activities and initiatives!

We look forward to seeing you next year -- our 10th Anniversary. In the meantime, we'll see you on The Greenway!
