Annual Reconfiguration of the Abstract Sculpture
The Abstract Sculpture atĀ Armenian Heritage Park, a split rhomboid dodecahedron, commemorates the immigrant experience. Annually, the Abstract Sculpture is reconfigured, symbolic of all who pulled away from their country of origin or were forced to pull away and came to these Massachusetts shores, establishing themselves in new and different ways.
In early Spring, a crane lifts, pulls apart and reconfigures the two halves of the split rhomboid dodecahedron, made of stainless steel and aluminum, to create a new sculptural shape, symbolic of a new life.
Supported by the Charles and Doreen Bilezikian Endowed Fund for the Annual Reconfiguration of the Abstract Sculpture.
