Midsummer Pottery Party: Pots on Wheels
The Pots On Wheels, POW! mobile arts outreach truck will be on the Rose Kennedy Greenway at Milk St. and Atlantic Ave. on Saturday, July 23rd from 11am to 3pm. Come join us for a free public art-making event. POW! (Pots On Wheels!) is a collaborative group of functional potters who seek to connect our love of pots with all kinds of people by bringing shows, projects, and collaborations directly to communities in our mobile gallery/project space.
Learn to make pottery using a variety of techniques, and try your hand at throwing on the people-powered treadle wheel. Paint and sgraffito a cup and tour the pottery gallery in the truck. This project is funded by the generosity of our supporters, and with the support of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
