Purple Lovegrass – the Eragrostis spectabilis – is a short, dense, native grass that really shines as the seed heads bloom.

Miscanthus sinensis can be found on almost every block of the park – adding a great sparkle and delicate sense of movement along sidewalks and paths. It is also known as Chinese silver grass, or Maiden grass, and there a variety of cultivars in the Greenway parks.
