A healthier park
Maintenance began today on the Fort Point Channel Parks South (the parcel between Congress and Pearl Streets) to remediate irrigation, drainage, and horticulture problems.
Work will continue for approximately six weeks and when finished, the parcel will look as good, if not better than it does right now!
The project includes replacing the broken irrigation system, replacing the path with a new surface treatment that won’t wash out, relocating some of the plants to more optimal locations, and resodding the parcel.
The Greenway Conservancy would like to thank Boston Properties for contributing to the health of this parcel. A civic-minded and responsible abutter, Boston Properties is donating services and materials necessary for the parcel’s repair.
Updates on the project will be posted to the Conservancy’s website: www.rosekennedygreenway.org/improvements.
