Black Music Month Celebration Concert (BMMCC)

Black Music Month Celebration Concert (BMMCC) honors the power of music crafted from the souls of Black folks with community, music, art, and more.

BMMCC will be held on the last of Black Music Month, Friday, June 30th, 5- 8PM at Dewey Square on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. Inspired by the “Breathe Life Together” mural by Robert “ProBlak” Gibbs as an ode to Boston and Hip Hop, BMMCC’s theme is the 80s vs. 90s. Let’s throw it back! Are you Team 80s or Team 90s? Hosted by Veteran Rapper & Teacher Akrobatik featuring SharlaFabulous, CusCampbell, ILL Neil. There will be a dance battle, 50th Anniversary of Hip Hop Cypher as well as an Afterdark Artist Reception with DJs Andres and Basi B. What does Black music mean to you? Let’s celebrate!
