Boston Local Food Festival

On September 15th from 11-5, join SBN’s Boston Local Food Program to celebrate New England’s vibrant food culture. The Boston Local Food Festival has become a beloved tradition, featuring nearly 100 local food makers, restaurants, food trucks, farms, and more. As one of New England’s largest one-day food events, it draws over 40,000 visitors to The Greenway for a day of flavor and community.

Festival Highlights:

  • Seafood Throwdown: Watch two top chefs compete to create the ultimate seafood dish.
  • Family Fun Zone: Kids can frolic in the water fountain, play lawn games, and get their faces painted.
  • Chef Demonstrations: Learn from our talented vendors and sample their culinary masterpieces.
  • New England Village: Discover the Food Solutions New England vision for a sustainable food future.

This festival is a zero-waste event committed to diverting at least 90% of waste each year and focusing on composting and recycling to keep The Greenway as beautiful as possible.

Interested in getting involved? Our volunteers are the heart of the festival. Volunteering provides excellent networking opportunities and a chance to support local food producers. Volunteers receive a t-shirt and a $15 voucher to spend at any vendor during their shift. If you’re enthusiastic about food and want to help make this year’s festival the best one yet, please email Gabbie at [email protected] or fill out the application here.
