Play Me, I’m Yours on the Greenway

26, Sep, 2013 Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy

Thanks to the hard work of the Celebrity Series of Boston, we are hosting 7 of the 75 pianos that will be appearing for the next few weeks on the streets, parks, and plazas of the Boston area.  The Celebrity Series is doing this to celebrate their 75th Anniversary season.  The practice of placing pianos in public spaces is called “Play Me, I’m Yours” and was developed a few years ago by British artist Luke Jerram

Our pianos are located in Chinatown Park, Dewey Square Park, Fort Point Channel Park, 2 in the Wharf District Park and one in the North End Park.  Here’s a few photos that we took as we unloaded them and secured them to the sites.

We are still looking for volunteers to help us keep the pianos cared for, including covering them at night or when it may rain.  If you can help us out, please email us at [email protected].
