Stoked for park’d! an 80s Throwback Party at the Greenway Carousel

I’m not sure if you’re aware, Boston, but the Greenway is kinda hip.

Are these meme things still cool?

From weekly beer garden block parties (thanks Boston Calling!) to a recent late night electro dance sesh (thanks Figment!), the Greenway has hosted some major action these past few months. And as we near the end of August, with summer days soon waning into the next season of leggings and flannels, we thought, why not one last bash?!

On Sept 9th from 6-9pm, we’ll be throwing back 80s style for an end of summer celebration! You’ll have all the free carousel rides you want (seriously, this creation is so awesome), two free drinks (thanks to the Glynn Group), free Stoked Pizza slices, and live music from local 80’s cover band, The Swinging Johnsons. It’s gonna be rad!

And costumes are welcome! Why? Because thrift stores are everywhere and/or you just want to wear your crazy patterned lululemon yoga pants in public. And I know you’ve always wanted to do this with your old t-shirts. Break out the hairdryer you’ve been neglecting for the past few months, grab the hairspray that for whatever reason you haven’t thrown away, and bada-bing, you have quite the look.
