Films At The Gate (FATG) is a three-day, bilingual film festival, organized and run by Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC)’s  youth. The festival attracts over 700 attendees annually, bringing together people of all backgrounds, ages, and neighborhoods to enliven Chinatown. FATG revives the spirit of the Chinatown movie theaters that shut down due to the rise in video rental stores in the 1980s. By introducing this tradition to future generations, the festival anchors the shared experiences of Chinese-language films back into the fabric of Chinatown’s community.
