Visit
Here you can explore family-friendly destinations and programming designed to delight, engage, and inspire along Boston’s iconic Rose Kennedy Greenway.
Stretching from the vibrant streets of Chinatown to the historic charm of the North and West End neighborhoods, The Greenway is more than just a park — it’s an ever-changing green space in the heart of Boston. And now, with The Playway, families can explore this urban oasis through a fresh lens of fun, creativity, and connection.
Whether you’re chasing butterflies in our flower gardens, cooling off by Rings Fountain, discovering the newest public art installation, or grabbing a bite from a favorite local food truck, The Playway maps out joyful moments for kids and grown-ups alike, many with free or discounted tickets available through EBT, Wonderfund, and the Boston Public Library’s Cultural Pass Program. Each stop features opportunities to spark imagination, movement, and shared adventure in and around downtown Boston. A visit to The Greenway allows guests to participate in hundreds of free, community-driven events and programs hosted in the park each year. The park is also home to six water features and a rotating selection of temporary exhibitions featuring contemporary public art, including murals, sculptures, and other installations.
