On October 22 at 10am, join us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Wesley Wofford’s Hope out of Darkness. The bronze sculpture depicts Solomon Northup, an abolitionist and author of the memoir Twelve Years a Slave. It tells a story of hardship, resilience, and hope.
The Rose Kennedy Greenway is proud to partner with NAICOB to host this traveling exhibition as it journeys throughout the US. Join us as we recognize the abolitionist legacy of Solomon Northup towards Black and Indigenous self-liberation.
