Fun at Work! Celebrating the Team That Makes The Greenway Special

At The Greenway, we take our work seriously, but we also believe that a thriving team is one that laughs together, celebrates together, and makes space for joy in the middle of even the busiest seasons. From our Horticulture and Operations teams, to our Programs and Public Art teams (and everyone in-between!), each and every staff member contributes something essential to the park’s success. For National Fun at Work Day, we wanted to highlight the joy, connection, and community that happen behind the scenes throughout the year.

Fun At Work is Serious Business

Keeping a 1.5-mile park running smoothly is no small task. Our teams are out in the elements year-round, planning events, caring for our gardens, supporting public art installations, welcoming visitors, and so much more. Having fun while making each day special is important to all our teams!

Celebrating the People Behind the Park

This year, our staff found countless moments of joy at work, in celebrations, through shared laughs, and by enjoying team traditions that made each season memorable.

Check out some highlights from the 2025 season that our team members have shared below:

A Team Worth Celebrating

At the end of the day, The Greenway is a space worth celebrating in many ways thanks to the people who care for it. Their creativity, attention, and dedication make the park a welcoming space for millions of visitors each year. Thank you to our incredible Conservancy staff for bringing your passion, humor, and heart to this work every day.
