An Abundance of Daffodils for the North End Parks

5, Dec, 2012 Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy

Thanks to generous donations from the all volunteer Friends of the North End Parks, both North End Parks will see an abundance of beautiful flowering daffodils in the Spring.

Over the course of several volunteer days in November, nearly 10,000 bulbs were planted by volunteers organized by the Friends of the North End Parks, including local residents, master gardeners, students from the North Eliot Street School as well as Conservancy staff.  Our thanks to the Friends and all of the volunteers who made these improvements posssible!

We have a number of different varieties of Daffodils planted along the greenway and their blooming signals the true coming of spring.  Look for blooms like the one below along the pergolas and walkways in the North End Parks.
