Co-imagined by SIDE PRESENTS and artist Ja’Hari Ortega, this family-friendly celebration will include activities for kids, music from DJ Cha (@djcha_) and DJ Troy Frost (@djtroyfrost), lawn games for all ages, bubbles, and food trucks. We invite adults and kids alike to come play and say goodbye to Big Hoops to Fill as summer comes to an end!

As the artist herself shares, Big Hoops to Fill creates opportunities to “heal one’s inner child, cultivate and encourage healthy multigenerational relationships, and foster confidence in one’s identity and culture.”

For those who are able to join earlier at 1pm, Samantha Rivera (@samanthasvibe) will lead an Art Girl Walk starting at 1pm and ending in front of Big Hoops To Fill at 2pm, just as the event begins. Installed in 2025, Big Hoops to Fill has won numerous accolades, including Artsy Editorial’s “Best Public Art of 2025” and “Best Hidden Gem” in Boston Magazine’s 2025 Best of Boston list.
