Curious about how to get on the guest list for the greatest party of the year held right on the Greenway? Then meet the development team: Ace, Jodi and Kelly! Here Kelly brings you up to speed on all things happening in the world of fundraising and membership.
The development team is excited to provide an insider’s look into our work to help the Greenway thrive! We are a small but fierce team of three, each with a unique focus but with a shared common goal of raising funds to help keep the Greenway a beautiful, vibrant and innovative urban park.
At this time of year we are focusing on our members, both current and future. We currently have 124 members who raised over 30k$ over the past year! This year, we made some changes to our membership program to reflect directly on who our members are, and launched our updated membership program this fall – “Find your Inner Park”. We all have an inner park and we encourage all our visitors to explore the Greenway and find what it means to them. Maybe it’s a quiet place to relax, or a place to meet friends for lunch at a foodtruck or a place to spend a day with your family and kids at our unique Carousel. Check out our new levels, starting at $60, and select your benefits (including totes and food truck tickets)! We have just over a hundred members and hope to continue to grow this year. Another exciting program we are working on is the 2015 Boston Marathon®. The Conservancy is proud to announce that we’ve received 2 bibs through the John Hancock Non-Profit Program® and we are so happy to be part of such a strong tradition in our city! After an overwhelming response of applications, we are thrilled to announce the 2015 Greenway Marathon Team members: Jeanne Goswami from Brooklyn, NY and Dennis Burke from Revere, MA (round of applause please!). Each are outstanding candidates with a strong running and fundraising background that share a passion for the Greenway. We are looking forward to keeping you updated on their progress as they head towards the finish line!
Save the Date! Our Annual Gala will take place June 9, 2015. This is our largest fundraising event of the year and always a special day gathering our friends and supporters together to celebrate the Greenway. And finally, as we are coming up on the holiday season, the Greenway is happy to be once again participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving back. On Tuesday, December 2 we will be asking all our friends, members and supporters to join millions across the globe to give back and make a gift to the Greenway.
